This section is intended for educational purposes. The goal is to increase awareness about social and environmental issues through the interactive use of photographs. Each month you will find a selection of work by a photographer on a particular issue:
• Selection of photos,
• Information about the issue,
• Information about the photographer and how she or he works.

Educators are free to use the material as they feel appropriate and best suites the needs of their students.
 

The educators present the issue based on their information and that which is provided on the site. They can use all or some of the photos.

The students react to the presentation and communicate their own experience or knowledge of the issue. They see the photos with the commentary by the photographer. They debate the issue.

The students can create their own photo essays on a web page, print it, and send it by e-mail to whoever they choose, including Sophot.com.
